Being a nurse allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives every day. The opportunity to serve people by providing care when they are ill and facing life’s challenges, offering support, and comfort to people during their most vulnerable moments.
In my own life I have experience great tragedy and sorrow. I am able to use that experience to bring comfort to others when they are in sorrow. Jesus is the healer. He heals our bodies and He heals our hearts.
I am going to serve the people of Cambodia as a missionary with SEAPC Southeast Asia Prayer Center. I will be supporting the national team leaders. I will be helping the house parents to learn how to meet the needs of the children in times of illness or emergency.
I will be using my nursing skills to teach the local people how to be healthy through diet and exercise. I will be teaching them about their bodies and how they function because we have fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Christ. This will develop relationships with the people of the local community and open the door to the gospel.
The desire of my heart is to see the people of Cambodia to come to know Jesus and to help those who already know Jesus to develop a deeper relationship with Him. Evangelism and discipleship work together to bring a person to the saving knowledge of Christ and then to develop them to lead others to Christ.
Each one to reach one. Each one to teach one to reach one.
